Last year Kitoko Studio has been selected to design a media library and a youth centre in Saint Sylvain, a small village in Normandy. The project will be located next to the town hall and a church classified as a heritage building. The media library already existed but was located inside the town hall building in a small room. Due to the population growth and the number of people using the equipment, the village decided to build a building to accommodate the users. The project will be a new landmark in the village.

This house will mostly be used by the client family and their friends during the weekend and on holidays. When we discovered the house we were surprised by the size of the property. The 4 buildings (one house for the guests, one building for the cars, one abandoned building that will be transformed later and the main house) were sitting on a vast land surrounded by the forest and a pond.

The 600sqm main building we were about to renovate looked huge from outside. The interior was in poor condition, more than half of the house didn’t have any insulation, partitions walls, electricity or even floor sometimes. Let's say the project was going to be challenging!

So during 4 years with the client's help and trust, we designed and renovated this holiday house surrounded by a team of quality contractors. It was a long process but we are proud of the final project result and hope that the client do so.

Good architecture takes time, energy and to have the right people at the right moment. We were lucky to have all these ingredients to deliver this project.

Last Site Visit Before the Summer Break 1/2:
The construction project of 15 intermediate housing units in Bénouville, Calvados, for Caen La Mer Habitat in the Clos Bellevue housing development (constructed by Edifides) is taking shape. All the excavation work and foundations were completed in the previous months. Currently, the construction of the ground floor walls using insulating terracotta bricks is in progress.

The site is scheduled for delivery in July 2024.

The construction project consisting of 19 housing units (11 intermediate housing units and 8 individual houses) in Soliers, Calvados, for the social housing provider Inolya, located in the ZAC du Parc (developed by Normandie Aménagement and designed by Magnum), is progressing rapidly. The project is divided into two lots, one bordering the new urban square and the other in the heart of the neighborhood.

On Lot A1 (11 intermediate housing units and 4 individual houses), the structural work, roof framing, and standing seam steel sheet roofing are all complete. Thin-profile aluminum windows and glass doors have been installed, and the exterior cladding is currently underway.

On Lot A2 (4 individual houses), the structural work is nearing completion.

The site is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2024.

Architectural Proposal for the construction of 27 housing units for the Caen la Mer Habitat housing association, distributed across 3 separate sites in Caen (Norrey Street, Secqueville Street, and Cussy Street). 

The program primarily involves the design of T2-type apartments, with a portion specifically reserved for senior tenants.

Our partner, Morgane Lasa Zingui, was present for the inauguration of the Service Center and the 13 housing units in the municipality of Bellengreville.

Construction just started for our housing project (15 apartments) in Bénouville (Normandy, France) with our client Caen La Mer Habitat. The site is close to the Pegasus bridge.

Our Tiny 8sqm apartment has been published in the deutsch magazine Volkskrant as part of "The Innovative compact living concept". We are still surprised that this small project built in 2014 has such an impact worldwide.

We just discovered this amazing website "reimaginehome.ai", which uses AI to get some new ideas for designing space by just uploading a picture. We think AI can be a new tool for architects and designers but it needs to be used carefully.

On site construction: 19 intermediate and individual housing in Soliers (Normandy)

After 20 months site construction, Kitoko Studio has delivered for the clients Inolya and the territorial community Val Es Dunes a mixed used project: 9 apartments, a public equipment (220m²) and 4 houses in Bellengreville in Normandy. The project is 1170sqm.
The project have different green sustainable labels. So the buildings will have a low carbon footprint and will consume less energy.

The construction should start at the end of the year.

Kitoko studio has been selected to renovate the Champlain commercial center in Caen Normandy. The commercial building is located in the social district la Pierre Heuzé. More information coming soon.

Caen La Mer Habitat has chosen Kitoko Studio and its team to design a 15 intermediate housing program. The project plot is located at Clos Bellevue housing estate in Bénouville (Normandy). The housing estate is developped by the main developper Edifides.

Few months ago we completed in Paris suburbs the AIG project. Two houses with their own architectural quality connected with a large roof to create a single property.

La charpente bois pour les logements collectifs est finalement arrivée sur le chantier. Prochaine étape la toiture.

The Bretteville sur Laize public service center building blends gently into the site with its curved walls. The volume fits into the land slope and follow the town hall building shape by extending its retaining wall.

The roof of the building is a public space accessible to everyone and it offers new views to the city. It is a square, a garden and a belvedere at the same time.

Last site inspection in 2021. The building structure is almost done. Still one floor to complete.

Ground floor almost completed. Ready for the pouring of the first floor concrete slab.

Kitoko Studio has been selected to design 15 intermediate social housing by the landlord "Caen la Mer Habitat" in the special district of Bellevue in Bénouville (Normandy near Caen).

The house extension in Paris suburbs is completed. Now the owners just need to install the wooden terrace and buya kitchen and it will be fully equiped.

Just received the Building Permit Approval for our 19 housing project in Normandy!!!

Site review: bathrooms done, wooden floors and tiles finished, painting on going. It's almost the end!

Despite some part of the roof terrace having more than 3m long overhangs, the wooden frame is finally finished. Carpenters are sometimes magicians !!

600sqm house renovation in Normandy: Construction looks like a total mess but things start to take shape

It is with great pleasure that we unveil the first images of the 8 collective housing project located few meters from the most important pedestrian street of Ouistreham (Normandy, France).

After several months of design, the consytruction has started. The demolition of the shell is in progress. The work will extend over 9 months.

Following several months of studies and discussions with the client, you can now discover the first images of the project on the new district in Soliers "ZAC du Parc".

After many months waiting, the city hall annex and social collective housing (13 units) building permit is finally approved.

The community of Val Es Dunes and Calvados Habitat (social landlord) have selected Kitoko Studio for the realization of a mixed program including a townhall annex and 13 social housing units in Bellengreville (Normandy)

After several weeks working and many change during the process, we are pleased to present the first images of the shopping center renovation in Caen (Normandy). 

It has been few months since we were selected to design 26 housings for seasonal workers in Trouville sur Mer (Normandy, France).
After many days of work, you can now discover the project and some of the renderings we submitted to the client.

Despite a long and complicated site construction, the project is now completed. Discover the history and pictures of this house. Built in the '60s and' 70s, this large 220m² international style house incorporates the 5 points of a modern architecture by the famous architect Le Corbusier.

In the heart of a Parisian block hides a small town house and its garden. It is a patchwork consisting of multiple volumes, with a large artist's studio and its beautiful glass roofs. The new owners want to enlarge it by adding an extra floor

The french developer Icade Immobilier has selected Kitoko Studio and the Kanopia architecture for a collective housing program in Gagny.
